Theme 2: Web 2.0 Tools
How can Web 2.0 tools push students up Bloom's pyramid? Which tools are most effective at this?

Theme 3: Professional Development
To what extent can social media and Web 2.0 tools push your growth as a teacher and as a learner?

Your Challenge!
Explore each of the three themes above by researching and investigating the essential questions in each area.
You will share this exploration on this wiki by creating your own page.
On your page you will want to have the following:
  1. Embed a Prezi that serves as a "rough draft" of your learning. Your Prezi will show the path of learning that you took and include valuable articles, videos, websites, and personal reflections. This will be an evolving window into your journey.
  2. Share a list of your personal top 10 Web 2.0 tools that you have researched. Not only will you share links, but also how each one is used, where it can be applied on Bloom's pyramid, and any tutorial videos that you find that might prove helpful to others.
  3. Share your Implementation Plan on your wiki page. This is the most formal part of our time together, but it can also serve as a resource to others in our class and beyond as they too explore 21st Century learning.

Each of these items helps reflect your exploration of the 3 themes above. You can explore these themes in any order you wish, spending as much or as little time on each as you feel is needed. By the end of this course, you will be able to share your insights and enduring understandings into each of the themes, while at the same time giving specific steps in how you can translate these insights into the day to day reality of your classroom.

Face to Face Sharing

At each of our Face to Face meetings, you will have 10-15 minutes to share where your learning has taken you so far. This sharing will focus on either Theme 1 (21st Century Learners), Theme 2 (Web 2.0 Tools), or Theme 3 (Professional Development). This might take the shape of sharing a provocative article you recently read, or introducing the class to an exciting new Web 2.0 tool/app, or sharing powerful professional development tools on the web. Conversely, you will be hearing from each of your classmates on their progress and picking up some of their best ideas to use in your own research.

Collaboration
The nature of this wiki also allows us the opportunity to collaborate with each other, to share resources, provide feedback, ask probing questions, and to see the same material through different lenses. This wiki is intentionally designed for comments to be posted and conversations to be had. You are highly encouraged to collaborate using wikispaces, prezi and other Web 2.0 tools in your journey.
